As agreed at our last meeting in
The HITRAN meeting (see http://www.CfA.Harvard.edu/HITRAN)
runs immediately before our meeting,
from the Monday morning to Wednesday lunchtime.
Larry Rothman tells us that
it will feature
several talks on water.
We will start planning the schedule of
this meeting soon. One thing we
will certainly require is a report on progress on
the various tasks we identified
at the last
meeting from each of the
task leaders (see below).
All TG members might be interested in the following article related to a universal spectroscopic database format and efforts of a related IUPAC body: http://www.iupac.org/publications/ci/2006/2801/3_lancashire.html.

The next meeting of the TG will take place following the next HITRAN Conference (26-28 June, 2006) and will start on Wednesday afternoon, 28 June 2006, and lasts all Thursday, June 29, 2006. Note that Larry is considering having a special session at the HITRAN conference on water vapor (similar to what took place at the 2002 Conference). Other interesting topics stressed at the HITRAN meeting are Validation efforts and Global Spectral Consistency.
